The band formed in April 2007 and took the Plymouth music scene by storm quickly becoming recognised as one of the city’s premier indie covers band. The 5 piece band made up of Andy Brown (lead vocals), Phil Burgoyne (guitar), Phil Brown (guitar and backing vocals), Martin Cocks (bass) and Paul Channing (drums). The band has been playing together for over 3 years building solid reputation with live music fans and music venues across Plymouth and the surrounding area.
The Vibes are a very busy band and always have more requests to play than availability throughout the year. The band is often booked over a year in advance for significant events such as weddings and balls.
The Vibes have played over 200 gigs ranging from regular performances in live music venues, University Student Balls, School Proms, Services Balls (Navy), Services Mess Events (Army, Navy), Corporate Parties, weddings and numerous charity events including headlining the Plymouth Sound Radio charity, Plymouth Sound Unite Pride of Plymouth Awards(2008), and other charities including Help for Heroes and Motor Neurone disease. The band supported Lemar (2009), the Artful Dodger (2009) and Utah Saints (2008) at university balls.
